Power Inductors (Wirewound):
Designed with a unique structure featuring a drum core either magnetically shielded by a solid ferrite core material or
other method. These inductors provide a large current capacity.
Manufactured in many different shapes and sizes, TDK’s inductor product lineup includes both multilayer and wire-wound construction.
Multilayer inductors provide a wide-inductance range and high Q characteristics with a reduced size. This is achievable in multilayer inductors due to TDK’s
unique multilayer processing technologies.
New Products:
- RF Inductor: MLG0402S (Multilayer Construction)
Physically reduced size from standard 0603. Available in E24 series. Inductance values start below 1nH.
- RF Inductor: MLG0603Q Multilayer Construction)
Provides higher Q-value than standard MLG0603S type. Tighter tolerances as low as 0.1nH are now possible. Target focus RF applications are within the 800MHz range and above. These parts are
ideally suited for use within cellular communications, GPS, W-LAN, and UWB designs. Better matching within PA and SAW filter circuits can be achieved due to this tighter tolerance availability. Parts also provide
solid performance with an SRF minimum of 10GHz at the low inductance values.
- Power Inductor: VLF3010A-1 (Ferrite Shielded)
Designed for general DC- DC converter applications including buck – boost circuits.
- Power Inductor: VLF3010S-1 (Shielded)
Designed for general DC- DC converter applications including buck – boost circuits.
TDK’s ferrite material expertise allows for smaller case sizes and reduced height to fit within the smallest size package possible.
Focus inductance values allow for superb efficiency within high-frequency converter switching applications. Hand held devices such
as cell phones, PDA’s, GPS, HDD’s and digital cameras are the target application market
